sage said on the strange famous message board:
“I also have to agree that Robust makes the Stick Figures album completely unenjoyable. Being that Pro is friends with him makes me want to ignore the whole issue and keep my mouth shut about it, but I just can’t. Prolyphic would have a good verse and then the other guy would come in and stink up the whole song with trite, played out bs.”

apparently robust got butthurt and made a song, and a pretty bad one, at that. if you go to his myspace ( http://www.myspace.com/robustchicago ) you can hear the actual cut, and you’ll quickly find the youtube video makes the song look way better than it is. the beat is pretty awful, and the dude’s monotonous delivery makes him sound like mr. rogers throughout.

when asked about an answer, sage says:

“All I can tell you is that there is no dragon inside of me that’s been disturbed from its sleep. I’m glad he got all this important stuff off of his puffed out chest. He did years of research and it was nice of him to admit within the song that most of what he’s accusing me of is speculation or hearsay. If I was to make a distrack I’d have to spend half of the song asking why he thought those things could be true. I may just fill out a questionaire and check off all the “no” boxes and call it a day.

Petty. I have a gym class to teach in 10 minutes. Give a fat old man a break already.”

so that’s pretty much a wrap then

i think he’s just trying to piggyback a well-known artist by throwing his name in a song…and a bad one, at that. using beef for publicity is 50 cent’s area of expertise, not robust’s

dude don’t have the right to take a shot at him
