The Sneaky Pete Mission Statement
This goes out to the entire 401HipHop community:
(Mortal, feel free to correct me if I overstep my position)
Let’s talk turkey.
I have been commissioned by the founder of this site, Mortal,
to discuss/argue/critique/blog issues within Hip Hop culture
especially as it pertains to/exists here in Rhode Island.
The views expressed by Sneaky Pete are not necessarily those
of Mortal and in no way should be considered “THE TRUTH”
OR TAKEN PERSONALLY.
That being said, I have been granted authority here
and will be working with Mortal to maintain a certain
“Standard of Excellence” on the site
which, of course, is subjective–
but the fact that one of RI’s most
consistent and respected promoters has
granted me this honor is not to be taken lightly
(i.e. 95% of yall should shut the fuk up and listen…kakaw!)
I invite anyone to challenge me on any topic–
I don’t have all the answers
but I do have over 10 years of experience
as an indie artist and record label co-owner in Brooklyn, New York.
My resume is not a joke and I won’t be “buddied up to”
just cuz “you spit too”
I’m not here to make friends, I’m not here to make enemies.
Dont get mad at me if u can’t beat me with words.

Promoters, club owners, etc
WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU in the long run.

to promote your event on another promoter’s website?
ok, so it is called 401hiphop.com …but really now, use some sense
As previously stated,
This site is a forum for emcees and fans
to express themselves freely
(within reason)
but it is a privilege that can and will be stripped
if you continue to post the same message again and again and again
or spam promote your event when it has nothing to do with the topic.
Submit your events to myself (sneakypete004@gmail.com)
or HW
and accept our decision to add it or not (ultimately Mortal decides what goes up on the site) gracefully.
a few tips:
*flyers: if you dont know photoshop…find someone who does
*publicity: consider inviting me or HW out to review one of your events (guest list of course) If we feel you have a quality event that
we would want to recommend to the community…viola. problem solved.

P-tinghtnGTCprod … if you want your events added to the site, then email then to HW. he doesn’t have a problem posting your events. but NO you can NOT spam the site.
Sneaky is only a contributer, NOT the site “manager” … i think the term your looking for is Admin. I am the admin. HW is a writer for the site. So as of now it goes Mortal > HW > Sneaky Pete.
Anyone could be a contributer for this site. so far only HW and Sneaky have stepped up and said they wanted to help out. so if you got a problem with what this site covers … or what we don’t cover … then step up. write something up, spell check it and submit it to me and stop bitching. or you can create your own RI hip hop site and do a better job then me. RhodeIslandHipHop.com tried it. you can too.
So either put up or shut up.
I do have to agree with Jots tho … Sneaky you talk about yourself and Marshall way too much.

i’m not a huge lox fan - styles, jada, and sheek have put out some dope singles in the past few years that have had my head nodding, but their albums have disappointed me for the most part. metermaids sound very dope though, i will have to check more of them…
and plus, i am currently saving myself for this monster of a show:

By the way, anyone heard that Hiero is supposed to be at Jerky’s in August? Souls, Pep Love, Casual, Z Man, and Prince Ali. That’s gonna be the shit if people show up. (Last show I went to there was The Last Emperor, and about 15-20 people showed up).
