I know its been quite sometime since I dropped anything and Im not about to write in the 3rd person and pretend I am not H.W. but I am still an artist as well as a contributor to this site. I am dropping a new free album on December 24th for the world to hear, it features production from Mac Lethal and guest spots from Redlist, and MobRobb. I am very proud of this project so I am going to drop a track here for you to have beforehand.

H.W. - Shithead (produced by: Mac Lethal)

Paving his own path in the Boston hip hop scene with countless shows under his belt, H.W. (also known as Hazardous Wastes) brings us his newest effort, A Year’s Worth of Worry. This release is a cohesive collection of songs that share his vivid stories of life’s challenges. Once again, H.W. shows the hip hop community how he contributes to the Boston scene with a truly unique style of rap that is serious and insightful yet cynical and sarcastic. His lyrics often portray him as a sensitive person — but the intense honesty he puts behind each track maintains his hard edge. The deeply moving content of H.W.’s material on AYWOW is so powerful and real that the listener will likely develop a personal connection with his music after just a couple songs. All heart and no lies, H.W. is a passionate emcee and an aspiring entrepreneur. He is the owner of the independent label, Delusional Records, which he founded in 2002. He also works closely with DJ Emoh Betta (Deck Demons), one of Boston’s most talented DJs. H.W. has big plans for 2010 – be on the lookout. – Jake Rainis

In a time where materialistic songs like throw it in the bag play on our Ipods, Chachi’s Last Dollar sets a distinguishing tone for the 401hiphop community. Humbling with an east meets west vibe; chords strung out like a old Japanese flick paired up with the well known “dolla dolla bill y’all” sample from Wutangs’ Cream can’t help but leave a bit of Proletariat bitterness in your mouth. Much props to DJ Therion for near perfect cuts and producer J. Depina for a song that doesn’t scream “Manufactured”. Chachi composes in such a way that transcends you to live every lyrics he recites.

This refreshing artistic approach to America’s recession, can’t help but to hit home for a native Rhode Islander, especially now. RI food bank has released their annual status report on hunger stating that thirty percent of Rhode Islanders are food insecure for 2009. Chachi, who always is an autonomous voice in Rhode Island uses this frustration, and alienation that is all too familiar as a motivator of the peoples. Maintaining his prestige while giving a glimpse to the issues many try and mask.

With an undertone of Marxian dialects, the only thing missing from Last Dollar is a sign up sheet for the revolution.

So I have to admit I was very surprised when 40 Dash hit me up and linked me to his new track “Destiny” produced by Tweek. I liked it. By the end of the first verse, I knew i liked this track. The beat is dope. 40’s flow is gritty and his subject matter speaks about the hardship of growing up in a world dominated by drugs without glorifying it like most rappers do. If I had one complaint about this joint its that it’s too short. Check it out and give me some feedback.
