Come thru and catch rhymeCulture at it’s first night in Providence: at the City Cafe, 79 Dorrance near Westminister St., Providence, RI
$5 Cover
rhymeCulture is becoming the premiere event for true conscious hip hop and spoken word poetry in Southern New England.
Featuring such artists as Axe Butane, B-Mor7, Round Table Kings, artFXone, RA The Sun God, Marshall Law, Kalyana Champlain, Jack Dempsey, Angelz, Inc., Freddie Black, Audio Liquor Entertainment, GTC Productions, 8th Wonder, Fatal Patience and more, rhymeCulture is providing a voice and opportunity for true lyrical hip hop & spoken word poetry. This is your chance to hear and support Southern New England’s premiere lyrical talent.
This is an art form that is slowly being eroded by the watered down offerings of the commercial mainstream. rhymeCulture’s goal is to ACT LOCALLY by creating the change we want to see – rather than simply being victims of our circumstances and accepting the things we don’t like as an unchangeable reality. Supporting rhymeCulture means supporting true hip hop; the artists, the ideas, and the culture.
There is a open mic from 9:00-10:00pm, with VERY TALENTED artists doing their thing. PLEASE come early and show your support for the artists who bless the open mic.
ARTISTS: if you want to perform in the open mic, please be @ The City Cafe by 9pm to sign up for a 10 min slot.
