Yo…I just got email telling me to go to this site because Marshall Law is saying he didnt know about the show. Dawg would you like me to post your Myspace response saying you were coming? I can do that fam…I thought you were coming because you responded and said you were down. You see…this site loses credability every single day. Dont worry Marshall everything is all good dawg and even with this ‘miscommunication’ I’ll still have you in my next show. I forgive everything thats done to me because I have a bigger purpose here in RI.

Mortal dont take that personal. Its just frustrating right now to have a dude blast me when I reached out to him to be in the show…he responded saying of course he’s down and asked me for the battle footage (a second time). Then I get an email saying the dude is clowning me. Marshall I reached out to you trying to move forward. I hit the same profile that you posted battle footage on my page from. I believe it was Organized Rhyme or something. SOMEBODY responded and said of course Im down. I said thats whats up and I thought it was cool. If you forgot then just own up.
I never used your name on a flyer before EVER! Not EVER! This is the first time I put you on it and now you say I used you to make money. Really? I forgot 10 groups off that flyer that all got mad at me….why would I put you on there to make money?
I dont know where this vibe is coming from but I can only assume its still beef from the battle. Mind you I already moved beyond that and I thought Marshall did too.

I’m not trying to end anyone’s career. With out people like you … this site would be a lot less amusing. You are not my arch enemy. I’m not Dr. Venture. You wrote some dumb shit, so I had to respond. How does what Marshall thinks or writes impact this sites credibility? What a dumb statement.
Your an event promoter? thats great. Your doing the type of events I was doing 10 years ago. Local shows with local artists. And thats a beautiful thing. the scene needs that. the young kids need that.
But I am not an event promoter. I do marketing and web development. So there is no conflict of interests here. keep doing your thing. but you exist in a public domain. your are putting on public events, so you will be scrutinized. and if your shit is wack people will call you on it. if you don;t want people to express there opinion on your work … then keep it private, behind closed doors.
I am still bugging off the fact that both you and Marshall said you were done with this site, yet here you both are using this as your official soap box to the masses. works for me.

Now, since your calling me out Im gonna call you right back. You said Marshall Law made a statement that shouldnt reflect the site. You said I said some ‘dumb shit’ but YOU co-signed what Marshall said. You are the web master right? You ARE the site. If the web master co-signs a statement without knowing the facts that means the website itself has a credibility issue. Am I wrong?
You asked Sneaky Pete to purposely arrouse people to get readership up. He did it and then you fell back and left him out there to catch the beef for it. He got into a big beef with Marshall and you never stepped in to cool things down. I jumped in front of Marshall when he went like a bee line to the stage when Pete was up there. I spoke to Marshall on the phone when he was basically asking permission to beat him down. I said to let it go and leave the beef to the battle stage. Did you do that for Pete?
If Im doing the type of events you did 10 years ago then Im a flea in the game, why do you continue to make slick comments about me? Im not on your level but you continue to address me negatively. Doesnt that give me pub? With that statement in and of itself your trying to belittle what I do yet again. But yet I wont let you make me feel small…I feel real big right now. Do you have any idea the amount of artists I get that want to drive from CT/MA/NY to come to my shows for FREE? That means alot to me. So to you Im doing little things but you should know little things lead to big things.
You said this site is “ammusing”? Are you in this for kicks? You do this for fun? Thats wonderful to have that option but I do this for a purpose. You think Im ‘WACK’ because I dont do shows the way YOU think shows should be done. 4, 5 groups tops…a click of people that hang out together every week…all been boys since forever…never let NOBODY else in there shows. People are starting to wonder why their only options to perform are either open mic at the Rep or throw their own shit. Now anybody can throw a show but who’se coming to see it? Im changing that, Im offering bigger crowds for smaller groups. Im offering better networking events. Im offering what you look down on and thump your nose at. Im offering the future. Everything else is vinyl right now…Im digital downloads. My shit is faster and cheaper and way more people want it. Point blank. The climate has changed. Now i can feel the hate, I see it in the eyes of the ones who are scared. They feel that people will start saying why would I pay to see those guys when I can get up on stage myself. Its a scary realization but its about to happen. Its the RIAA right now and Im that bastard in his basement creating Napster.
One more thing…you said the ‘young kids’ need that. trying to knock my shit yet again but my shows are 21 plus, aint too many kids in there dawg, many of the artists are pushing 30. And if I can get a spot thats all ages you better believe I’ll be having something for them too. I’ll wear the cross…I know these purist like the back of my hand. When I first did the Big Show I know the ‘purists’ wouldnt get it. So what. I see the big picture and 50 groups that look me in the eye and say thank from the heart see it. Im good.

I never co-signed anything Marshall said. I made my own statement. Marshall then agreed with me.
I never asked Sneaky to to do anything. He started on this site after I reviewed one of his events. He wrote so much in the comments, i told him he should just write for the site. There was never any agenda. Sneaky likes hype. Its how he promotes himself.

Its a splash page that says “UNDER REMODEL…SEE US IN A FEW DAYS FAM!!!” and it has been that way since 07. nothing is vinyl right now. records stores dont event exist. no one is putting out vinyl. People are barely putting out CDs. EVERYONE is putting out mp3s. Is that a metaphor? are you saying you are iTunes? i think you have a Napoelon complex. if you want to give someone credit for being innovative with helping indie artists then give credit to Amie.st. Thats some original shit. All you do is throw events, just like me, and chachi, PDP, JJuan, Mike Delahanty, Rich Lupos. The way you talk is alot like Brad from Paper Chasers. He would tell me all the big things he was doing. They had shows popping at the Coda Lounge and Tommy’s Lounge. They was putting on all these up and coming artists. But look where they are now.
If your gonna talk all big willie … then you really need to be doing something innovative. Something NO ONE has done before. This site for example … It’s a blog site … blogs are a dime a dozen … but its a blog about RI Hip Hop … Niche market.

And when u book 40 acts for a show, and the are 160 people in the audience, that is not a big turn out … thats all the performers. A big turn out is 100 FANS.

Imma vouch for Marshall, cuz I’m the one that called him at like 10 that night to find out what the deal was. Either way, with an event of this size, SOMEONE we’re down with should’ve seen SOMETHING about it.
Anyway, it must be hip-hop season. I know rappers love to battle, then you get producers gettin in on the trash-talking; but now even PROMOTERS are on the battle tip! I can’t wait to see the next couple of events cuz I have a feelin they’ll be extra proper!!

But I will let almost anyone who wants to … write for this site. I manage two sites. and I only get help from a select few. So if anyone out there wants to contribute … let me know.
And if you check my comments … i write digs to sneaky all the time. i write digs to HW. I keep it real. i say what i feel. i can like someone and still bust their balls. (ask my wife and/or children) and i can not like some one and respect their opinion.
