KRS-One Show is Postponed till Sunday May 11th

The KRS-One and Strange Famous Records showcase that was scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday Aprill 22nd) has been postponed to Sunday May 11th. I first got word about this from Keebla the B-Boy Kingpin of the RI hip hop scene. So after some research I was able to confirm that yes, it is true that the show is postponed. I heard the reason was that at the Connecticut show, someone in the crowd threw a bottle and hit KRS with it causing the injury. I think KRS is pointing to where the bottle struck him.

More Info:
Hip-hop legend and pioneer, KRS-One, was injured by the hands of a fan during a recent performance in New Haven, CT after being hit by a bottle.
According to reports, a fan became upset when security escorted him off the stage during the rapper’s set at Toad’s Place nightclub. Upon leaving, the fan launched a bottle at the stage, striking KRS in the face and hand.
Calmly, the rapper told the audience not to retaliate, urging “Let it go. When negativity comes your way, let it go.”
He was later carted to Yale-New Haven hospital in an ambulance where he was treated for a fractured hand, and dehydration, after his hand swelled up during the last 15 minutes of his set.
However, before leaving, KRS said “Let this be an example as to how we stop the violence.”
The show was part of a multi-city tour in which he was support his Stop The Violence Movement. Unfortunately, due to the injury, he has canceled the following dates to recover.
The following is a list of postponed dates:
04/21 - Performance at Harper’s Ferry, Allston, MA
04/22 - Performance at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel, Providence, RI
04/28 & 30 - Community Meetings and Planning, Chicago, IL
